Planning your stay

Answers to the most common questions ahead of your stay at The Alfriston.

  1. What time is check-in and check-out?

    Check-in is from 4pm, and check-out is by 11am.

    If you’d like a little extra time on departure day, please speak to reception (subject to availability). On arrival, we’ll pre-authorise your card for £50 for a one-night stay or £100 for multiple nights.

  2. Is there parking on site?

    Yes, we have ample free on-site parking for guests.

  3. Are dogs allowed at The Alfriston?

    Yes. Well-behaved dogs over the age of one are welcome.

    • £30 per dog, per night

    • Maximum of two dogs per room

    • A welcome pack is provided on arrival

    • Please note dogs must not be left unattended in rooms.

  4. What is your cancellation policy?

    Flexible room bookings:
    Reservations are guaranteed with a credit card. To avoid charges (equivalent to the first night’s rate plus taxes), cancellations must be made by 2pm local time, 72 hours prior to arrival.

  5. Do you offer Dinner, Bed & Breakfast packages?

    Yes, Dinner, Bed & Breakfast packages are available on selected dates and include accommodation, dinner and breakfast.

  6. Do you have accessible rooms?

    Yes, accessible rooms are available. We recommend contacting the hotel directly so we can ensure the room suits your requirements.

  7. What’s the difference between a Family Room and a Family Suite?

    Family Rooms offer extra space for families, while Family Suites provide additional separation and flexibility, ideal for longer stays.
