About The Alfriston, South Downs
Our Story
Originally built in the late 14th century overlooking the Cuckmere River, Dean’s Place began as a grand merchant’s manor before becoming a charming country retreat in the early 1900s. Over the years, it has welcomed travellers with warm hospitality and timeless charm. Since taking it under our wing, we’ve worked to honour its history while enhancing its beauty, ensuring it remains a cherished gem in the heart of Alfriston.
